Welcome Back!  Happy New Year!  AR test will be due February 1.  5 point book or higher.  

 

ELA:

Monday:  Bellwork:  Lesson 27, Pronouns 

              Reminder – AR test requirements, go to library and make sure everyone has a library book.

              Vocabulary on Sounder – review – all words are on Quizlet.com, they can be accessed on Google Classroom also.  Study for test on Friday.

             Interactive NoteBooks (INBs) – journal and catch up with any gluing. 

                                      

                                              

Tuesday:  Bellwork: Lesson 28 pronouns 

                Consequences:  vocabulary discussion – connotation :), Use this as the subject to brainstorm/web for prewriting exercise.  Complete the lesson with M&M and 7-UP activity.  

               Write in the Interactive Notebooks (INBs)

               

Wednesday:  Bellwork:  Lesson 29 pronouns

                  Discuss “Theme” what is a theme.

                  Discuss possible themes in the story of Sounder     

                  Brainstorm a list of ideas

                  Discuss a thesis – powerpoint                                                                                

Thursday:  Bellwork   Lesson 31 adjectives

                Finish powerpoints on What is a good thesis.  – discuss activities we will be doing on the thesis.  Assign groups.  Use notes.
