*** REMINDER***** AR test due on Wednesday, September 5.  Book must be at least worth 2 points.***

Monday 9/3: NO SCHOOL

Tuesday 9/4: NO SCHOOL

Wednesday 9/5: Bellwork – Activity 10 inference

                        Hard Fast Rules of Quotations:  review the rules we have already discussed. Remind students to use capital letters, commas and other punctuation correctly throughout their notes that they will copy from the board.

                        READ – AR TEST IS DUE!!   Next AR test will be on a 3 point book or higher.  The time window on the second test is September 6 through September 26.  (test is due on the 26th)

Reading for Pleasure Class (RfP):  Read aloud to class from a new book – the class will vote

                                                 Read together as a class Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Thursday 9/6:  Bellwork – Activity 11 Main Idea

                      Read a lesson from Unstoppable You

                        Hard Fast Rules of Numbers:  discuss how to correctly use numbers in our writing, most rules are for formal writing.   Remind students to use capital letters, commas and other punctuation correctly throughout their notes that they will copy from the board.

Friday 9/7:  Bellwork – Activity 12 predicting outcomes (use at least 3 complete sentences)

                 Read a lesson from Unstoppable You

                        Hard Fast Rules of Plural nouns:  discuss how most plurals we just add “s”

However, some nouns need a special rule to follow to spell them correctly.  Remind students to use capital letters, commas and other punctuation correctly throughout their notes that they will copy from the board.
