****Reminder***** First AR test is due September 5.  Must be a 2 point book or more in points.

Monday 8/27:  Bellwork – character analysis – hand out and discuss character traits versus physical traits

                         Hard Fast Rules of Commas – take notes on how to use commas – making sure notes have the commas used correctly.  

                          wkst 25 – commas

RfP:  Read aloud to class for fun.  

         Begin talking about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory:  some may have read, or seen the movie, make predictions, discuss that we will read as a large group, and participate in some activities with this book.  

                         

 

Tuesday 8/28:  Bellwork – details – finding details within the text

                         Hard Fast Rules of Apostrophes:  take notes, using apostrophes correctly.

RfP:  Read aloud to class for fun.  

         Today will be a study hall to help students get caught up or ahead.  I will be available to assist them with any work that they need help on.  This is a privilege and I expect each student to have work or read at this time.  

Wednesday 8/29:  Bellwork – drawing conclusions

                             Study Island Pre-test – 30 questions

         Begin reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: we have points of discussion, allowing all to understand it.

 

Thursday 8/30:  Bellwork – fact, and opinion

                           Unstoppable You – lesson

                            Hard Fast Rules of Quotation Marks – take notes using the quotation marks correctly
