                Hard fast rules on commonly confused words.  Notes are complete, highlight helpful reminders – let the students share ways they remember the difference.

Tuesday:  Bellwork activity 46 (cause and effect)

                 Study Island – Capitalization lesson – review and using what we know and have learned

                 Finish Flocabulary Raps – present on Friday

                 Read library books

                 If have time work on placing Rules into our INBs.

Wednesday: Bellwork review worksheet on apostrophes (contractions and possession)

                    Types of sentences:  review the four types – using 7^th grade terminology; declarative, imperative, interrogative, and exclamatory.  define each and complete wkst 58 (color code sentence types)

 

                    Study Island: Punctuation and  Spelling lessons

                     Read library books.

Thursday:  Bellwork review worksheet on apostrophes (contractions and possession)

                  Additional review of parts of speech – added to bellwork (verbs and nouns)

                   Flocabulary : Possessive nouns and Capitalization lessons – watch videos, vocabulary cards, vocabulary game, read and respond, and the quiz.  (no rap today:)
