Parents, please encourage your student to complete recommended IXL lessons, I will be taking grades and assigning ZAP (aka-detention) for those who are not completing them.  We have 5 recommended lessons for chapter 4 to be completed by next Thursday, January 16^th.  

(Note:  these lessons align with our textbook)

 

6^th Math

Monday:   IXL – working on lessons from Chapter 4, (5 lessons) these will be grades.

              tiptop triangle review – wksts 83-86

                Chapter 4 review. begin worksheet 82

               Test will be on Thursday.

                            

Tuesday:     Minute math #35, record on Assistments.org

                  IXL – recommended lessons The students will need to have the chapter 4 lessons complete by next Thursday, Jan. 16^th

                  Chapter 4 review – worksheet 82, finish from yesterday

                  

Wednesday:     Bellwork:  IXL work – minimum of 10 minutes                                

                      chapter 4, lesson 4.2. Areas of triangles.  pg 140-145, 

                               

Thursday:   IXL – completing assigned chapter 4 lessons,

                 chp 4, test

                 

Friday:   Minute math lesson 36.  Record on assistments 

             

                    

    

Reading For Pleasure

Monday: Read aloud to class – Payback Time

             Homework:  Bring a rock and a favorite childhood story to share with the class.

Tuesday:   Read aloud to class –  Payback Time

              The students will begin sharing the books they have chosen as a childhood favorite.

              They will share with the class by reading or summarizing if of long length

               

Wednesday: Read aloud to class – 

                  Share childhood favorite

Thursday: Read aloud to class –  Payback Time

Friday:  Read aloud to class – Payback Time

            childhood faves – share (should be finishing)

            Reading time on own.
