Parents, please encourage your student to complete recommended IXL lessons, I will be taking grades and assigning ZAP (aka-detention) for those who are not completing them.  We have 5 recommended lessons for chapter 4 to be completed by next Thursday, January 16^th.  

(Note:  these lessons align with our textbook)

 

6^th Math

Monday:   No School

                            

Tuesday:     Minute math #33, record on Assistments.org

                  IXL – recommended lessons The students will need to have the chapter 4 lessons complete by next Thursday, Jan. 16^th

                  Chapter 4 Lesson 4.1, Areas of Parallelograms.  pg 133-139

                  Assign  #1-16, 20, 22-26.  on 138-139

Wednesday:     Bellwork:  IXL work – minimum of 10 minutes – goal to complete at least 10 questions.                               

                      chapter 4, lesson 4.2. Areas of triangles.  pg 140-145, 

                      Assign #1-24 pg 144-145

                       Extension pg 146-148 – discuss                  

Thursday:   Minute math #34, record on Assistments.org

                 chp 4, lesson 4.3, Polygons in the coordinate plane. pgs 150-155

                 Discuss a coordinate plan, with (x, y) coordinates.  plotting points,…

Reading For Pleasure

Monday:  NO SCHOOL

           

Tuesday:   Read aloud to class –  The class will vote between a few selected titles.

              Discuss syllabus – expectations of class

              Get to know you activity.

              Homework:  Bring a rock and a favorite childhood story to share with the class.

 

Wednesday: Read aloud to class – 

                   Collect syllabus

                   Discuss what makes reading good or bad.
