Noun notes noun- person, place, thing, or idea person- the name of the person, boy, girl, teacher, parent place- name of the place, location, area, thing- object, item, time period, Ice Age, Great Depression idea- concept, freedom, government, love, hope, honor, Nouns- may be found in a PP because it can be the object of PP Nouns can be located in any position in the sentence When you are looking for nouns do not include pronouns ex: I, me, my, they, them----these are not nouns When you are looking for nouns do not include proper Adjectives Ex: African American basketball player
