I grew up in Tuttle and graduated from Tuttle High School in 1997. Oklahoma State University was my college of choice. I attended there for 4 years and during the last semester, I did my Student Teaching at Kingfisher Elementary.
My degree is in Elementary Education.
I started teaching in Tuttle in 2002. I was the HS Cheerleading coach and the Gifted and Talented Teacher for 2nd-8th grade. Following that I taught 3rd grade, 2nd grade and 1st grade. I enjoyed all three in different ways. Music has always been a passion of mine, and when the position of 2nd-3rd grade Music Teacher became available, I jumped on it. This is something new for me this year, but I am excited about it!
Prior to teaching at Tuttle, I taught a half-year at Mid-Del Schools in a low poverty district. I learned a lot during my first teaching experience that helped me throughout my career.
I have 2 boys, Chandler is in the 3rd grade and loves reading and watching TV, and Chase is in the 2nd grade and loves to play baseball and doing anything outside!
They both go to school at Tuttle. They have one dog, Annie, who is a dashaund.
In my limited spare time, I enjoy watching sports, singing, going out to eat and to the movies with friends, riding my bike, and spending time with my family and my precious boys!
